Original Appeal

Rescued from Santomera in February. I am a large boy with all my working parts, more than six years old. My coat is very long and I do need a lot of grooming.

However I brush up well and am full of energy. I really want a loving family who can give me the love and affection I so desperately need. I love attention and am not ruffled by many things. I am a very laid back sort of guy.

Result of Appeal

Sammie has been up for adoption, in Cereco, for over 4 months now. Animal Aid and Cereco had no success locally finding a home.

In desperation I called a Samoyed rescue society in Nottingham, run by Brenda Walker.

Once they had seen a photo of this gorgeous dog they took him into their protection. It was decided he would be passported, boarded in kennels for 6 months and relocated to England at the cost of the society.

I was overwhelmed at the unconditional love and generosity of organisations like Animal Aid and Samoyed rescue, who rely solely on donations to fund this wonderful work.

Sammie at 6 years old has a truly new start in life. My thanks and Sammie's thanks to Samoyed Rescue, Animal Aid and Amber Lodge, who are boarding Sammie for us and arranging his relocation!  

Dalmatian - NOW REHOMED THROUGH CERECO

Rescued from bigastro on 10th February. I am also a big boy with all my working parts, but I am only two to three years old.

I love people and give my love freely. I sit and give my paw when asked in english. I have started to chew my tail because there is not enough for me to do here and I am on my own a lot. I love people and like other dogs too. I want a home like I had before. I have a very sweet nature.

My name is now DOMINO and I was collected today by a fabulous lady who keeps giving me treats! This lady speaks english and keeps telling me I am a good boy! My life is looking up and I love her already. I may be going to england which sounds exciting!

Josh and Jake are 10 months old, Schnazer cross, vaccinated, house trained, well behaved and very good with children and adults. Their owners have to go back to the UK because one of them is quite ill and in need of treatment. They are both looking for a new home desperately.

Sasha is a Great Dane 6 yrs old. She is fawn in colour, fantastic with families with children, very lovable pet but large.

The current owners, who are going back to the UK, bought her from Petsworld as a puppy and has her pedigree papers also. At present she sleeps outside with the other dog, but is very good indoors. She would make an ideal pet.

Javier is a black Mixture dog, he is the size of a Lab and is about 8 yrs old the current owners got him from SATS as a puppy he has longish hair like a golden retriever and also looks like one but black. They are going back to the UK and cannot take him with them.

He also is very lovable with children , loves been cuddled. He has been used to being outside although he does come into the house now and again. He would also fit in anywhere. He doesn't like fireworks though. He is used to a cat around also.

Hi, My name is Perro. At least that is the name my temporary host gave me and I even tend to listen to it (sometimes).

I am a 2 year old beagle, a little overweight , so I am on a strict diet, for the rest of me I am OK the doctor said. I sleep in your arms or I am running in the garden. I really need that garden and a lot of toys because I like playing on my own or with people and I love laying in the sun.

I have a special bond with chocolates and socks. I simply can't resist them. The socks you can get back, the chocolate on the table however.... I don't eat furniture or things, I simply don't like that I know that I am a dominant type, but if you take the time to overrule me, I'll learn and listen fast. But, I also have a huge amount of love to give and I love giving it.

I am a female, about 6 months old, I was rescued from a rescue centre but unfortunately my owner has developed health problems and cannot look after me any more.

I need a new home, if you could either foster me or give me a permanent home.

Original Appeal

We have named this German Shepherd, Petra. She was NOT found in the streets abandoned, as you may think by the state of her, no, she was living with a family, who thought it was ok, to keep her like this.

When she was rescued, she was starving and very frightened. She took shelter in Rita's dog cage(the vet), happy to be warm and dry and safe. Her feet were so swollen she could hardly walk, having lived in her own excrament for so long, her paws are full of infection and are still bleeding now (2 weeks on). She has never known love and kindness, and fears coming out of the cage.

Her skin is full of sores, and it is painful for her to eat. Petra is getting better every day and Rita says in about one months time she will be well on her way to a full recovery.

A big thank you to whoever reported this neglect to the police, and thank you also to the police for taking action.

If you do see cases of cruelty or neglect, please don't ignore it. If you don't want to speak to the police, then ring Linda and she will help you

Petra is still having treatment by Rita, but is getting better every day. Its good news for Petra as she has been adopted by a couple living in Quesada, she now has a home of her own.

Hi, My name is Sandy. Sandy is about 8 months old female waiting to be spayed which will be paid for by Animal Aid she approx 15 inches (380cm) high and probably would not get any higher.

She loves cats and gets on well with other dogs if introduced slowly,she is very affectionate and is a real lap dog,she like lots of exercise and would be good with children .

Foxy is about 8 years old and was found down on Guardamar beach, having been abandoned approx 3 weeks ago.

He has been wormed and de-fleaed, also his skin condition has been treated and is clearing nicely. He has a weak heart and also the start of cataracts.

He is totally adorable, just needs a quiet home to take it easy, he doesn't need much exercise just somewhere to live out his twilight years. He has not been castrated and cannot be, due to the heart condition.

Georgie was found at a gas station near Gibraltar he was bought home, and checked over by the vet he is fine although very thin , but all else ok.

He is clean, obedient and very docile for a pup of his age, He is very friendly and gets on well with other dogs

Original Appeal

This poor dog was found in someone's garden, she was starving to death and her collar, now removed has left gaping flesh. We do not know how anyone could treat an animal this way.

She had been tied up for so long, and yet still manages to wag her tail if you give her a pat. We were asked by Rita, to help this dog, as she had nowhere else to go. We have taken this dog to Amber Lodge Kennels, as we know under Laurence's and Elaine's care she will be brought back to health. When she is back to full health, we will be looking for a home for her.

She has a lovely nature, and will make someone a very loyal pet. If you would like to adopt me, please contact us, although it will be a few weeks before I will be fit enough to leave the kennels. Animal Aid will be paying for her stay in the kennels and for any treatment required.

Update

Lady is doing fine, she has almost doubled her bodyweight, and her neck is healing up well. She is such a friendly, loving dog, Can some kind person give her a home

He is about 12 weeks old now, when we picked him up he was starving and had been dumped by a bin. After a bad start in life he is now back to good health. He is a very loving puppy, who just likes to be cuddled. He has a very nice nature and is very intelligent. Sits to comand already. He gets on well with other dogs, and would love someone to give him a good home.

Judy (black and tan) and Shani (tan) are two adorable pedigree miniature daschunds. They are looking for a loving home. Their owner is having to relocate back to the UK and it is impossible for them to go with her. They are very affectionate and clean house dogs and, of course, are fully house trained. They do not need very much exercise at all and are happy to spend their days just playing together.
